About μUtils
μUtils is a collection of tiny utilities for everyday developer and IT work: formatters, converters, generators and calculators. Each tool does one job, does it fast, and never asks who you are. There is no sign-up, no paywall, no advertising and no tracking — the site is free forever and funded, if at all, by voluntary donations.
Privacy is the feature
Every tool that can run in your browser does. Your input is never sent to a server, logged, or shared with third parties. There are no accounts and no cookies — what you paste stays on your device.
Offline by design
Install μUtils as an app and it keeps working without a connection. The app shell and every tool page are cached locally, so formatting a payload on a plane works exactly like it does at your desk.
Open and inspectable
The whole project is open source. You can read every line that runs, self-host it, and verify the privacy claims yourself — that is what makes them claims worth trusting.
How it is built
The site is a static-first Next.js application styled with Tailwind CSS. Tools are self-contained modules registered in a single registry that drives the home grid, the command palette and the sitemap. Heavy libraries are lazy-loaded per tool, so opening the home page costs you almost nothing. The app is an installable PWA: a service worker precaches the shell and tool pages for offline use, while your preferences, favorites and drafts live only in your browser's IndexedDB.
